Time for a matcha latte means time for fun and relaxation. So far, this is our best mix for a warm matcha latte. Herefore, we have experimented a lot with quantities, temperatures, sugars and milk. In addition to regular cow’s milk, we also tested various alternative milks. For us, coconut sugar and barista oat milk came out best of our test. The natural sweetness of the sugar along with the creamy taste and frothy top layer of the milk make this latte an incredibly addictive matcha experience. Ingredients (1 person)
● Matcha (premium-grade): 3 g (1 heaped teaspoon) go to shop
● Warm water (60 °C): 30 mL
● Coconut sugar: 1 g
● Barista oat milk (70 °C): 150 mL
Put the matcha in your favorite cup.
Add the water to the matcha. Make sure the water is not too hot or boiled. Mix the water with the tea powder until it is completely dissolved.
Heat your milk of choice and add 2/3 to the matcha tea.
Froth the rest of the milk (1/3) and add to step 3.
For the ultimate matcha experience, sprinkle some extra matcha on top of the foam layer.
