Description
Roasted Japanese Green Tea
The green tea leaves are roasted at a high heat. Due to this high heat, a large amount of the caffeine in the tea leaves will evaporate. This results in a lower caffeine content in our Hojicha tea.
Deep Smoky and Roasted Aroma and Flavour
Our Hojicha tea is characterised by its deep smoky and roasted aroma and flavour. This flavour together with the lower caffeine content, makes it a tea which you can enjoy throughout the day and even before going to bed.
Yame Origin
Yame is located deep in the mountains in the northern part of Kyushu Island. This mountainous land together with the unique inland climate of Yame, hot during the day and cold at night, enhances the taste of the teas.
Matthew Hall –
Lovely tea, am drinking it now. Wonderfully subtle roasted flavour, takes me back to when I lived in Japan.
I think it’s important to remember that if you like green tea don’t use boiling water. I did it once by mistake and it changes the flavour. Make your green tea the Japanese way and it tastes like green tea should.
